Activities around Poljica
Central Dalmatia’s mild Mediterranean climate makes the region a genuine year-round destination for anyone who wants more than a beach. Plenty happens right at our doorstep – we don’t organize these activities ourselves, but we’re happy to give tips, contacts, and directions.
Right outside the door
- Swimming & snorkeling – 30 meters (100 ft) to the Adriatic. The bay is sheltered, the water calm and clear. Bring water shoes – the shore is pebble and rock.
- Cycling along the coast and into the hills – from easy rides to mountain-bike terrain
- Hiking – from short coastal walks to trails in Krka National Park, Biokovo Nature Park, or the Mosor range above Split
- Kayaking & SUP – sheltered coves in the area are ideal
- Boat trips to the offshore islands – two private docks in front of the house make launching and landing easy
- Nordic walking on the old olive- and wine-trail paths around Poljica and Vrsine
Especially good outside peak season
Fall, winter, and spring bring mild temperatures, plenty of sun, and empty coastal paths. For active travelers this is the best time. Mimosas bloom as early as February; the landscape is lushest in spring; the olive harvest comes in each fall.
