Five family-run apartments on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, right by the water. Our house sits 30 meters (100 feet) from the Adriatic, in the quiet fishing village of Poljica – between the UNESCO city of Trogir and the regional capital Split. Split Airport is 20 minutes away by car.
We’ve hosted guests from Germany, Austria, France, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, and Australia, as well as from the US and the UK. English does the job here – in the village, at the nearby restaurants, and definitely with us. Poljica is Dalmatia without the cruise-ship crowds: local shops, local restaurants, olive groves in the hills, and clear water you can swim in 30 meters from your door.
Five apartments, sleeps up to 22
The house has five self-contained apartments. Four are about 50 m² (≈540 sq ft) each and suit up to four people. The largest is about 100 m² (≈1,075 sq ft) and fits six. Combined capacity is up to 22 guests – useful for extended-family travel or groups of friends.
Every apartment has air conditioning, a TV with international channels, and free unlimited Wi-Fi. Bed linen and towels are provided. A cot for infants is available on request at no extra cost. Free parking is on site (please reserve your spot with your booking – spaces are limited).
A great base for Central Dalmatia
The mild Mediterranean climate makes the region a real spring-to-late-fall destination. Hikes in the mountains, cycling along the coast, kayaking in sheltered bays, day trips to Roman ruins or national parks – details under Activities and Excursions. Within a one-hour drive you can reach:
- Trogir – UNESCO World Heritage old town (10 minutes)
- Split – Diocletian’s Palace, UNESCO, Game of Thrones filming sites (30 minutes)
- Krka National Park – the waterfalls (50 minutes)
- Solin – ancient Roman Salona, ruins (20 minutes)
- Ferries to the islands – Hvar, Brač, Vis, Šolta from Split or Trogir
On the water
A communal garden with an outdoor grill, tables, and hammocks in the shade of fig trees. Two private docks directly in front of the house mean you can arrive by boat, or head out for a day trip to a remote cove on the Adriatic.
We speak German, Croatian, English, and some Italian and are reachable at any reasonable hour – for directions, help at the pharmacy, or a tip on where to eat that evening.
Welcome to Poljica – or, as we say in Croatian: Dobro došli.
